Odiham Castle is 30 minutes from The White Hart and is positioned across from Basingstoke Canal.
The castle is known locally as ‘King John’s Castle’, as one of the three strongholds built by King John. The site has been the setting of many historical events including the imprisonment of a Scottish King and the signing of the Magna Carta.
The flint ruins of the castle are currently being restored under the Heritage Lottery Fund and Hampshire County. Follow the pathway, lined with planted trees, to discover the ruins up close.
